FAQs

How long does and ice sculpture last?

There are many variables when it comes to the longevity of an ice sculpture. For example, temperature, direct sunlight, size of the sculpture, ventilation, indoor/outdoor event, all play a very important role. On the average, the life expectancy of an indoor sculpture is approximately 6-8 hours depending on design.

Can you custom freeze objects into the ice?

Yes!  Freezing objects into ice like flowers, pictures, bottles, and more is a snap.

Do you carve by machine or by hand?

Both!   When carving an ice sculpture manually, we use a wide variety of hand and small power tools. Carving by hand is how we made our mark in the Atlanta area for the past 30 years. Machine carving uses technology that involves  large computer-controlled routers that cut ice according to a programmed design. These carvings make precise sculptures which is important for many customers, especially those who are concerned with corporate branding.  Using a machine doesn’t remove the necessity of hand carving which is employed to finish the work.  It simply increased the possibilities.

What do I need to furnish the sculpture?

Typically all you will need is space for a 3ft round or square table for the sculpture. We will deliver, set-up, and tear down the sculpture using our staging equipment.

What will be the dimensions and weight of my Ice Sculpture?

Ice sculptures vary in size. An average ice lock weighs in at 300 pounds, and the dimensions are 40 x 20 x 10 inches. The weight of an average finished one-block sculpture will range between 150-200 pounds. This weight can be supported by most banquet tables. Other larger sculptures can weigh from 500 to 5000 pounds. We can discuss accommodations when you place your order.

How far in advance do I have to order my Ice Sculpture?

We would appreciate at least one full week’s notice; however, we can accommodate short notice deliveries as depending on our current bookings.

Do you use molds?
